As a new mom I had no idea what to expect during my son’s newborn session.  I worried that he would cry, wouldn’t fall asleep and the pictures would not turn out anything like those squishy images I fell in love with on the internet.  All of my fears turned out to be unfounded and I had beautiful pictures to remember all those little tiny newborn details that changed so fast.

Now that I’m on the other side of the camera I try my best to put new parents at ease.  I share what a session is like, I provide lots of tips to help make sure your baby is ready to sleep sweetly, and I share some of the magic I have up my sleeve to help settle a baby that just isn’t feeling it.  But there really isn’t anything like seeing what something is like.  So with the help from the amazingly talented Erin from Erin Sellers Video Scrapbooks I’m going to take you behind the scenes of a recent newborn session and give you a glimpse into what I love to do.
