Clickin Moms: Iphoneography

This month’s Clickin Mom’s blog circle theme was Iphoneography.

Every month, I join a number of other insanely talented photographers in a photography challenge  At the end of the month we share how we approached the challenge and link up our blogs.  The creativity these women bring to every challenge is inspirational so I hope you take some time and follow the links around our circle.

This was a fun challenge.  I grab my phone to snap quick pictures of my kids all the time.  It’s incredibly portable and I always have it on me.  The outcome – I have hundreds of really bad IPhone snap shots.  So this month I focused on trying to get some images that elevated above my every day iphone pictures.  I read up on some tips  Did you know you can lock focus and exposure on your IPhone?  I also embraced converting my images to black and white.  It’s amazing what a simple black and white conversion can do to mask some of those wonky IPhone color casts.

I found some really cool post processing apps.  Snapseed and VSCO were my top favorites.  I had no idea I could have so much control over my images on my phone.  This month definitely convinced me that my Iphone camera is much more versatile then I once believed.

Amanda, you did a great job with this challenge! I love the detail you got in the first one, you can actually see the tiny little hairs on his face! Your selfie is so pretty, love the backlight. But my favorite is the snow-covered trees lining the road… that one is a WOW for me! Great job!ReplyCancel
