The light is shining bright for this baby boy.
It was a warm summer evening when I met this proud mom and dad for a family portrait celebrating baby Dominic’s Christening.
Dominic’s heirloom Christening gown was beautifully made by his Grandma, complete with a matching bonnet. You could see the love she poured into every stitch.
It reminded me of the Christening gown that my family has passed down from generation to generation. My mom wore it. I wore it. And her Grandson’s both wore it. That fabric knitted together our family bridging the seam between generations that would never meet. I can’t help but hope that this gown, pressed and bright white, may travel generations into the future and knit together this beautiful families story.
